Freshwater stingrays

• Information

  Our hatchery currently consist of twelve tanks.:

  • 3x 175*100*50 Freshwater stingrays
  • 3x 150*50*50 Malawi breedinggroups
  • 3x 100*50*50 Malawi juveniles
  • 3x 80*50*40 Malawi hatchingtanks

• The three stingray tanks
  In the end of 2008 we started building three new stingray tanks. Our P. Motoro got too large for their previous tanks, and needed deeper tanks.
  Two out of these tanks are currently occupied by our stingrays. The third contains momentarily a group of sub-adult Malawi cichlids.

• Malawi Breedinggroups
  Some of the species that we couldn't place in our showtanks in the livingroom, found a place in the hatchery. These are mainly Utaka's.

• Malawi Juveniles
  The cichlids that we have bred, have their own tanks to grow up. First of all they are born in our 80cm tanks and the mother stays in the tank untill she doesn't take care of them anymore. After that, they move to the hatchery.
